Follow Friday: December 11, 2009
I always look forward to #followfriday on Twitter. It’s been a great way for me to find new people to follow and I hope you have enjoyed following some of the people I’ve recommended. Starting this week, I’m going to supplement my typical #followfriday with a blog post.
While I think #followfriday is great, 140 characters doesn’t always allow me to give the kind of detail I’d like to when making recommendations. I also like having all of my #followfridays archived so people can look through them if they missed one. From here on out, all @raczilla #followfridays will be posted here on the blog with a bit more detail on each of the people I suggest.
My #followfriday for December 11, 2009
@dewiel is my main partner in crime over at EA SPORTS. He’s the other community manager that sits in the Tiburon studio and is happy to admit that he’s a homer when it comes to Cleveland and Ohio sports. He’s also pretty good at Madden but if you beat him he’ll probably say something like “I haven’t been playing lately” or “I picked the wrong playbook.” Follow him if you’re into sports, video games, or are the kind of person who could talk for hours and hours about your pet dogs.
@mjamrst is the founder of PlayGroundDad.com, a site for busy dads like myself that are looking for ways to spend better time with their kids. Mike doesn’t know that there are also 31 teams in the NFL not called the New England Patriots and you should get a second opinion on any music he recommends, but those two things shouldn’t keep you from checking out his awesome site. Follow him if you want to hear from a funny guy who has a great entrepreneurial spirit and loves his family… even more than the Patriots, Red Sox, and Celtics.
@clockwisedc is one of my favorite clothing brands. They are based out of DC and some of their clothes have a distinct DC flavor, but you should check out their site and blog regardless of where you are from. I’ve bought their stuff online a few times and have never been disappointed. You should follow them if you’re into fashion, music, are from the DMV area, or not from the DMV area because let’s face it… everyone has a little DC in em!
What do you think of this week’s #followfriday suggestions? Who is in your #followfriday this week? Feel free to drop your twitter name in the comments so I can check out your page as well!
